HealthyWorker provides “Pre-employment” assessments for third party administrators (TPAs) and for our own clients. If your Health Assessments are contracted through a TPA, we are a provider of choice in the Southern Alberta area. If you require assessments for your workers, we recommend that you confirm the Bona Fide Occupational Requirements (BFOR) and the Bona Fide Occupational Qualifications (BFOQ) for each position. We are able to assist Employers to determine these requirements and qualifications so that each position has a standard with supporting documentation.

We recommend that any job related medical examinations be limited to the occupational requirements and that the examination be performed after the worker has signed a conditional offer of employment.

Company Specific Drug and Alcohol screening – Instant and Lab based testing.
Vision Screening – Colour differentiation, Depth Perception, Near and Distance Vision, and Peripheral Vision.
Cardiac (Heart) tolerance for activity – Medical Professional Screening, ECG, endurance rowing / skipping / walking and other assessments.
Respiratory (Lung) tolerance – Medical Professional Screening, Spirometry, and other assessments.
Musculoskeletal (Muscle, Nerve, Bone, Joint) tolerance for performing all tasks – keyboard use, prolonged sedentary tasks, prolonged standing tasks, squatting / crouching / bending / lifting / twisting tasks, lifting tasks from 2lbs through 200lb+ lift / drag / carry tasks.
Respirator fit confirmation – clinic and mobile Qualitative and Quantitative testing.
Audiometric / Hearing testing – clinic and mobile Initial, Annual, Periodic and post abnormal assessments.
Company Specific Assessments – we are able to confirm most company specific bona fide occupational requirements in our indoor and outdoor assessment areas.
Professional Medical Assessments – we have a large team of permanent and contracted staff that provide assessments including: Licenced Practical Nurses, Registered Nurses, Certified Occupational Health Nurses (Canada), and Physicians, Chiropractors, Audiologists, Respirologists and many other specialties.
